Winter Weather Advisory

...
Hope you are buckled in for the ride. I'd like to think you're ready. We've been "On Your Side" with advance information, on-line and on the air for the past few days, letting you know what to expect.

You can find the latest closings, road conditions and forecasts updates on WREG News Channel 3 this morning, right now... and through out the day.

Remember, after the snow this morning, we're worried about the extreme cold that will be a part of the Mid-South for the next several days. Here's a look at the 7-day for the latest numbers.

Between 8am and 2pm today, Northwest winds may be gusting to 30 mph, which means blowing snow to go along with with the colder air moving in. The coldest air will be felt Friday and Saturday mornings, for those up early.

We are not alone in dealing with this winter mess.

Here's today's rundown for those keeping score:

This morning, snow slows down. We'll have 1-2" before all is said and done.

8am-ish, Northwest winds begin to blow, temperatures start to drop. We start in the mid and uper 20's this morning, we'll fall to between 15-20 by sundown.

BITTER Cold air will settle into the region through Sunday. Overnight lows will fall to 5-10 degrees Friday and Saturday morning. Highs will hold near 20. Temps will climb back above freezing on Monday. So, we're looking at about 100 hours, in the deep freeze.
