Happy New Year 2010

...
Well, let's see, what time is it? 10, 11am? I'm just guessing here that you were out late celebrating and ringing in the new year, and therefore, NOT up at 5am to watch Daybreak. Which is okay, it's the one time of the year you get the free pass. Just as long as you didn't drink and drive, and returned safely to location from which you left.

Now, Kris and I (Todd) were here this morning to share the local and national news and weather for the small handful of people who either A) had to work like us, or B) had not yet gone to bed after a long night of fun and frivolity.

These folks were here at the station, behind the scenes this morning getting WREG News Channel 3 Daybreak "On the air"

Producers: Rachel Duncan and Eric Lipford,
Editor: Gary Cuesta,
Directors: Ed Randle and Joel Rosenberg, with help from Brandy Hunter on still store,
Denise Guin back on Chyron, (she's usually in audio, but Eddie is on vacation)
in Audio, Antoine. On the floor, Patrick and Ryan.

So, here is hoping that you have BIG BIG BIG plans for the new year to make it MUCH MUCH better than 2009, which quite frankly, (and mostly because of the economy) was not the best year ever. Don't get me wrong, some incredible things happened in 2009. But on an individual or family level, it was a very difficult year for many.

So, here's your daily forecast update, book mark this for future "quick reference."

And to learn more about this "major league" COLD SNAP I've been telling you about....

Ringing in the new year, in case you missed it, or were sleeping.

This is funny, the "Top 25" songs of the year by Spinner. Who ever or what ever "Spinner" is. I don't recognize any of these. Who puts this together? An intern?

Did you hear about the new "Google" cell phone? Not due out til next week, but it's already on YouTube. It's called the "Nexus One" and is tied to T-Mobile.

So, this morning on Daybreak, at 5am, I said: " I'll bet no one is watching, if you are, send me an email or give us a call." Our "Daybreakers" flooded our email!. Thank you to all these folks who took the time to call in with kind words this morning!
