Happy Passover.

The next launch of a Space Shuttle is about a week away... Discovery is on the pad... ready for lift-off early next Monday morning.

What is this "Race to the Top" and all this money TN is supposed to be getting all about? We're talking about a HALF BILLION dollars.

I'm not sure this is going to come as any big surprise to you....

Back in the groove

...
Okay... we have Monday under out belt... now FULL STEAM AHEAD on a great week. Much warmer weather ahead... today is looking perfect. Oh, and we're "running out of month!' March is going out like a lamb, April, coming in like a lamb. Someone tell me what that means... please!

Check out the changes out west, and how it may eventually affect us here in the Mid-South.

Plenty of drama from the country music world, this is a great place for the scoop.

A famous New York City landmark is getting a "make over."

This country is getting it's "First" Taco Bell...

An interesting travel log... not my cup of tea, but still interesting.

Good morning Daybreak Family... it's Todd, back in the saddle after a couple of days off last week. Took the gang to the mountains for a late "Spring Break." At least the weather was nice there Saturday for a day at Dollywood!

Our weather is looking great for the rest of the week. Much, much warmer weather ahead, we're talking highs back up to near 80!

I sure hope you paused to remember this great Memphian.

Friday!

...
For those of you who wouldn't dare miss a day of our "Seen on Daybreak" page... I offer you more of our adventures.

First the weather, today is "improving."

Now... for those of you wondering "where I am." I'm doing a little "travel-log" on my "other" blogspot. You'll find it here.

In a nutshell, today is Waterpark day, Gatlinburgs Aquarium, and Maybe OBER (which has gotten kind of pricey as of late.)

Tomorrow is opening day for Dollywood, and we'll be there with bells on.

See you on Monday, gang... maybe a little worn out from the travel. Todd

You may have noticed, Austin is handling the "weather duties" today on Daybreak. I'm (Todd) off with the kids for a little break. Feel free to stop by here to follow our adventures.

If you've never been to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, you are missing out. This place is fairly new, and the kids hate to leave. They've added a magic show to go along with their dinner show. They have one in Orlando, too, it's easily distinguished as the "upside down building"

It's our favorite place to go, as long as there is a "cabin involved" a hot-tub, the Aquarium and Dolly.

See you tomorrow... thanks for checking in... Todd

Mid-week

Our weather continues to shine... very very nice. Sunshine and highs near 70, again today. Funny, no complaints on my voice mail... tomorrow, a different story, rain or thunder will likely start to pop up overnight and be with us tomorrow morning.

To our north, the fear is flooding, and it may be of record proportions.

Apparently, this story is not over yet!

Spring and Snow?

...
Back at it, bright and early Monday morning... hope you were able to enjoy the great weather the Mid-South has to offer, last week, into Saturday. It sure turned down hill in a hurry for Sunday and this morning. A mixed bag of weather for the week ahead.

Wow, great weather

...
Finally, a return to sunshine and 60's. My favorite kind of weather.

HOWEVER... here's why I'm worried about Saturday. It's bringing us T-Storms and then cooler weather, but to our north, it will be SNOW!

Not that you will be surprised by this, but it should confirm what you already knew and felt about this past winter.

In Fiji, a recent storm has produced some serious damage. The Cyclone produced winds between 135 and 175 mph.

Another storm, another threat for nasty weather
Look where that storm is headed!

He's going to be touring, and even making a stop in Memphis. You may not recognize him, but your kids will, and they'll be letting you know about his visit. Ticket go on sale later this month, and at least they are not "out-rageously" priced.

My buddy Alex Coleman heard from Craig recently with nothing new to report on the venture except what is on his website: Criag and actor Terrance Howard are reportedly on board for a project that could be shot in Memphis.

And the "Deadliest Single Tornado" EVER, on this date, when. This is amazing reading about this incredible event, it really forced the government into "forecasting tornados" until then, those predicting the weather were "Banned" from using the word.

Know what radio station I"m listening to on the way home from work?
It's Brad Carson on KQK! It's like he's reading my mind when it comes to the music he plays. Hats off to you, pal... keep up the great work. My guess is he'll be doing "green" songs today. Or something "St. Patrick's Day" related.

A record deal worth a quarter of a BILLION dollars, and the singer isn't even alive? Do you think Sony is taking a big chance here?

A slow warming trend for the week ahead...

Thanks to all the stopped by the WREG-TV booth over the weekend at the Southern Women's Show. I snapped a few pictures and put them on our new "See me, Stop me!" page. Also, Congrats to "Jackie T." of Memphis who won the flat screen TV we were giving away.

Just an observation: the shows: "60 Minutes" and "CBS Sunday Morning" are 2 of the finest programs on television, ever. I am amazed at what quality journalists can accomplish when given the time to investigate and deliver long form reports.

It's off to the NIT for the Memphis Tigers.

You knew him best from "Mission Impossible" and he didn't take him self too seriously in the "Airplane" comedies... in passing.

Scattered showers are likely to linger across the region thru tomorrow, with cooler weather to be expected.

Here's a look at what's happening just to our north.

This is kind of exciting... would be huge for the city if it were to happen.

I'm not watching this season... but if you are, and you missed it, everyone is talking about this girl/woman.

And for Letterman, the nightmare appears to be over, although maybe not at home.

Trying a new feature on Daybreak.... if you see Kris, Markova, Corie, Todd, Melissa or Candace, stop us... ask us to take a picture of the two (or three or however many) of us... and post it on our "See me, Stop me" page.
