MDA Monday

Being it's a holiday, things have moved around a bit... the "Jerry Lewis" Labor Day telethon started last night, Tim Simpson is our local host, and I will join him for a few of the "Local Cut-Ins" this morning.  WREG News Channel 3 has been with the "Love Network" since the beginning.  This is like, our 40th year of broadcasting this great event.    It's an opportunity for you to take the time and call in a pledge, and to watch the hudreds of local organizations that have worked hard all year long to raise funds for "Jerry's Kids."
You get to hear stories of how the local chapter of MDA helps patients, right here in the Mid-South.  Remember, the money raised here, stays here, to help local patients at what's known as "clinic."

Many great strides have been made in finding "the cure" for various forms of Muscular Dystrophy.  I hold on to the hope that "this will be the year" that a cure is found.  These kids (and adults now) are so brave fighting this, you are their hope.

So, take a moment, watch the telethon, learn what it's all about.   Become a part of the cure.  Remember, ever little bit helps.
