Fine weather

....
So, how do you like the weather now?!?? Pretty good stuff... huh? Hope you had a great weekend and didn't eat too much crawfish and gumbo! A few clouds and sprinkles will be with us "on and off" this morning, then clearing and comfortable for Tue/Wed.

All eyes were to the skies in central Florida this morning, to see if the weather would clear for the landing of the shuttle Discovery. The unusual landing path would have the shuttle coming almost directly overhead Memphis about 7:30am... a big IF, the weather cooperates! only 3 missions remain for the Shuttle Program this year... Next up Atlantis May 14th, then Endeavour and Discovery with the last trip to the space station by the shuttle fleet.

Last night, ANOTHER country music awards show, this one the ACM, and no, Taylor Swift didn't walk off with most of the awards, "Lady Antebellum" did.

"Oh Hail!" what part of the country sees the most of this dangerous weather phenomenon.

Some good news, those helping in "relief efforts" for Haiti, Shoes! You want to get involved, here's the web site you need to visit.

I saw this story on CBS not too long back, an 8-year old, raising 5 Million for Haiti.

Okay... this is cool. Haven't seen it before... looking out the window of a different city every day! It's called "Winscape" be sure to watch the video!

I cannot tell a lie... they are my favorite sandwich shop... I just love 'em. Gimme a "Deluxe Club Sub!"

This happened quietly last week in the shadow of passing of Benjamin Hooks.

In Daybreak Trivia: "Old Soldiers never die...." who said that... (and what a career he had, amazing read if time allows)

and he received a Pulitzer for his work on Roots.
